Upcoming InnoTech Conference is the Place to Be
By Kate McPherron, technology evangelist
Oregon InnoTech is the place to meet and interact with leaders driving the technology industry in the region. The exhibits and conference sessions help a wide range of professionals learn more about the latest trends in marketing, development, management and much more through many specific tracks.
The SAO and EasyStreet are sponsors for conference, which takes place at the Oregon Convention Center on April 25-26, 2007.
“EasyStreet is a presenting sponsor of InnoTech again this year because we see a strong convergence between IT and the Internet,” says EasyStreet president Rich Bader. “More and more, customers are inviting us into their IT planning and implementation because of the importance of the Internet component.”
Oregon InnoTech creates an environment where education, innovation, peer-to-peer networking and the latest technology and business solutions are all available specifically for business and technology professionals. The fourth annual Oregon InnoTech assembles the leading business and technology executives in the region, providing answers to innovation issues, real-world case studies, and the best chance to see the latest products and solutions to support businesses.
“I’ve been attending the monthly Oregon CIO Summit Advisory Council meetings,” says Bader. “It’s clear that many IT issues such as disaster recovery, compliance and security are now fairly well understood and are being addressed. This year’s InnoTech and CIO Summit will explore new business and technology initiatives on the horizon and their implications for companies and their IT departments. These include Web 2.0, social networking, blogs, RSS feeds, etc. Also, thanks to Governor Kulongoski fully funding the 2007 Innovation Plan developed by the Oregon Innovation Council, there is interest in IT’s role in achieving sustainable growth for the state of Oregon.”
Bader adds, “I see InnoTech as the premier event in the Portland metro area. It attracts thought leaders in technology and explores technology’s impact on local business and the local community.”
