SAO Volunteers: Some of Your Best Resources

This month, we at the SAO newsletter committee bid farewell to Martha Maroney, who is stepping down after serving 18 years as a copy editor. Having launched her own business, Trimar Communications, the same year as the founding of the SAO, Martha brought enthusiasm to the job along with professional experience in software engineering, technical writing, journalism and marketing. As the owner of Trimar Communications and with a specialty in writing customer case studies, Martha continues her active involvement in the software industry through work with Microsoft, Intel and other technology companies. Please join me in heartfelt thanks to Martha for her tremendous support of the newsletter over all these years. And now, a call for help. I’m in the unenviable position of needing to fill Martha’s shoes. But if you have a taste and a talent for copy editing and would like to be involved, please contact me . Copy editing typically takes a couple of hours per issue, and can be done on your own time. We need someone every other month, typically the first week of the month.
